The Concept

Four different topics, divided into four levels; beginners, advanced, expert and master. Each level is built up with a step-by-step guidance of exercises, with text, illustrations and videos of different dogs from real training sessions.

  • Focus and Independence
In this step you will work with exercises that improve the dog's task and obstacle focus, which also will be beneficial for line work and start routines.

  • Connection
In this step you will work with exercises that enhance the dog's attention to you. I believe an effective agility dog is characterized by a balance between obstacle focus and handler focus.Forming the most efficient lines requires a strong connection with our dogs.

  • Listening Skills
Independence will rely a lot on the dog's actual understanding of the different tasks. In this step you will dive into exercises aimed at improving the dog's ability to receive, process, and promptly respond to verbal cues.

  • Commitment
In this step we will work with exercises to give the dog more experience and confidence in comprehending tasks on their own.

How does the Classroom work?

Video Sharing 🎥

Participants can upload their training videos directly to the Facebook group, where each participant will have their own “thread”. A video can consist of different sessions and exercises, with a maximum length of 5 minutes. Please edit out any unnecessary parts in the videos ✂️

Feedback 📝
Once a video is posted, you will receive constructive feedback from me, the teacher, within three work days (Monday-Friday). For example, if you share your video on Thursday at 10:00, you should receive feedback on your work by Tuesday at 10:00. Other members may also provide comments or questions in each other's threads, as this creates a collaborative learning environment.

Observation of Progress 👀

The group format allows participants to observe and learn from each other's experiences and challenges.

Q&A 🗣️

There will be livestreams where I'll answer your questions and discuss various topics. There's a dedicated thread in the group where you can always comment with your questions to have them addressed in the next Q&A.

Overall, the Facebook classroom serves as a dynamic platform for ongoing learning, feedback exchange, and community building for the participants of the course.
